We understand that sometimes life happens, and you need to cancel an appointment.
Our goal is to provide quality health care to all our patients in a timely manner. Appointments are in high demand. Late cancellations and non-attendance inconvenience our other patients, so your advanced notice will allow another patient access to that appointment time. Please be aware of our policy regarding missed appointments.
How to cancel your appointment
If you need to change or cancel an appointment, and to avoid a cancellation fee, we ask that you provide us at least two business days’ notice. For example, if your appointment is at 9am on a Monday, you need to let us know by 9am the Thursday before.
To cancel or change an appointment, please call our friendly reception team on (08) 6182 2188 during business hours. Any cancellation made after 5pm on a business day will be counted as a next day cancellation.
What happens if I don't cancel, or do not attend my appointment?
If you do not give notice or attend your scheduled appointment, you will be required to pay the non attendance fee.
A non-attendance is when a patient misses an appointment without cancelling, notifying or is more than 5 minutes late to attend the appointment. The non attendance fee is $1000.
How much is the cancellation or non attendance fee?
If you cancel your appointment less than two business days prior to your appointment, a cancellation fee of your deposit will be charged to cover the administration cost of rescheduling and reallocating your appointment.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged at the did not attend rate, which is currently $1000.
Please note that cancellation or non attendence fees are not reimbursed by Medicare, and you are not entitled to your patient rebate.
Refund Policy
If for some reason you no longer require an initial appointment, cancellations can made with at least two weeks notice. You will receive a 100% refund of your deposit in this instance.
