Cancellation Policy


 

Appointment Cancellations & Non-Attendance Policy

We understand that sometimes life happens and appointments need to be changed. Our aim is to provide high-quality care to all patients in a timely manner. As appointment times are in high demand, late cancellations and non-attendance limit access for other patients. Providing adequate notice allows us to offer your appointment to someone else.

Please read the following policy carefully.


How to cancel or change your appointment


To avoid a cancellation fee, we require at least two (2) business days’ notice.

Example:
If your appointment is scheduled for 9:00 am on a Thursday, you must notify us by 9:00 am on the preceding Friday.

To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please get in touch with our reception team on (08) 6182 2188 during business hours, or you can contact via email, reception@bluewaterhealth.com.au.


Please note:

  • Any cancellation made after 5:00 pm on a business day (or days we are closed) will be treated as having occurred on the next business day.
     

What is considered a non-attendance?

A non-attendance occurs when:

  • You do not attend your scheduled appointment, and
     
  • You have not cancelled or notified us in advance, or
     
  • You arrive more than 5 minutes late, resulting in the appointment being unable to proceed.
     

Fees for cancellations and non-attendance


  • Cancellations with less than two (2) business days’ notice
    – Your deposit will be forfeited to cover administrative and scheduling costs.
     
  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice
    – These will be charged at the non-attendance rate.
     
  • Non-attendance (Did Not Attend)
    – The non-attendance fee is $1,000.
     

Please note:

  • Cancellation and non-attendance fees are not reimbursable by Medicare.
     
  • You are not entitled to a Medicare rebate for missed or cancelled appointments.
     

Refund policy (initial appointments only)

If you no longer require an initial appointment, you may cancel with at least four (4) weeks’ notice and receive a 100% refund of your deposit.
